Evaluated the policy and regulatory architecture that has governed the Nigerian pension industry. We examined all past pension schemes with a view to analyzing pertinent issues including the: rationale; beneficiaries; strengths; weaknesses; and specific problems that each scheme was created to solve. The objectives of the assignment included: comprehensively review past pension laws and schemes; analyze relevant policy issues facing the industry; identify and suggest solutions to some of the challenges facing the industry; and, develop recommendations for the formulation of innovative pension policy decisions.
