Taiwo is a former Director of Parastatals pensions department in the Nigerian Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, where he managed over 300 independent parastatals’ pensions and their respective boards of trustees, which are diverse, dissimilar and disparate in their sizes and operations. He was previously the component lead for public financial management in the FCDO-funded federal public administration reform programme. He was also at one point the chief bonds dealer and acting head, treasury at the First Bank of Nigeria Plc. as well as an assistant director and head, securities issuance unit of the Nigerian debt management office. Taiwo has also served in the banking operation and research and statistics departments of the Central Bank of Nigeria. He has over three decades cognate experience spanning core central banking/open market operations, debt management including sovereign debt issuance and restructuring, treasury functions cum bond trading, public financial management with specialty in budget process and transparency, financial and macro-economic analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and pension management.
